在本作《The Beasts of Burden》中，可以將擊敗的Monster封印至卡牌，並在戰鬥中作為技能使用。

本遊戲將在遊戲主持人（TRPG中引導遊戲進行的人物）的帶領之下推進劇情。
像在玩桌上遊戲般地移動棋子，進入以紙牌來展現原野、城鎮和迷宮等所有地圖的世界中冒險吧。

在各種地方發生的事件或戰鬥中，有時會以骰子的數字來決定命運......
此外，還可以在城鎮的「Game Parlour」裡遊玩本作原創的卡牌遊戲。
